January - February 2015

Such a neat experience.  When Brother and Sister Wold - the Senior Missionary couple serving in Tucker's Mission- gave their report in Sacrament Meeting, they were surprised by this family from Uganda.  They were refugees from Ethiopia who have relocated to the northern Utah area.  Brother Wold's sister happens to know these kids in Utah and gathered them up and drove them down for the surprise.  They were well acquainted with the Missionaries and especially loved Tucker and the Wolds.  Such a super experience.

Dear Aunt Ann passed away in February and we were able to make to trip to Beaver, Utah for the funeral service.  Grandma has fond memories of Aunt Ann and Uncle Johnny..They were very good to me and often invited me for a summer adventure at their home in Las Vegas.  They were very involved with the young adults in that area and I remember them getting permission from the police and the neighbors to block off their street and have parties and dances.  

Aunt Ann loved genealogy and provided hundreds of names for us to use in our Temple Service.  She was a wonderful writer and wrote lots of stories about our ancestors and the family history.  

 It was so cold in Beaver and snowed the entire time we were there, but we enjoyed so much the family and renewing our relationships with them.

 Uncle Richard and Aunt Joyce came over from Cedar City for the service.

Enjoyed a session at the St. George Temple the day after the service.  Believe it or not there was 1 1/2" of snow on the lawns of the Temple the day before.

 Really got deep over Jacobs Lake, but the roads were clear.

 And look what greeted us when we arrived home.  Pheasants on the lawn....and in the driveway...
