Remember that time we took the "shortcut" to Mesa through Young...I think you girls were screaming the entire way. The road, at times, is precariously on the edge of a cliff...straight down and a long ways down! It really is beautiful country. We went this time to a wedding reception for our dear friends, the Hatchs, daughter and her new husband. They were married in the Mesa Temple a week or so ago. It was lots of fun to catch up a little with them and their family. Wendy and David had a delicious dinner prepared--(Grandpa loved the chocolate fountain and the fruit) and wonderful cake for dessert. David has recently been called as the Branch President in Young. Best Wishes!!! The lovely little church in Young right in the middle of down-town.

Good Old "Meow" - I think he started out being called B.C. for basket cat because he liked to play in the baskets so much. He came to us one cold Halloween night when Carrie and Natalie rescued him from certain demise at Buck and Jean Smith's home in Snowflake. (new meaning to "trick or treat...") He was really little and pretty much stayed little-certainly much smaller than the other cats. He was a good ole' cat...

We had this fun family here as guest artists for the Performing Arts last evening. The Lowe Family - they have been performing in Branson, MO at the Lawrence Welk Theatre for the past 17 years. It really was a great program with a wonderful patriotic finale. ( I think they really gave us a bargain for our $....come to find out --the dad, Robert, and Alma Saline were missionary companions...) Check our their web-site -www.thelowefamily.com -- they have some nice videos - we especially like the one with the Tabernacle Choir - "We Will Go On".
We had such a fun weekend with these two and their parents....Grandma and Grandpa love to hear the singing!!
Cutest Little Cooks in town---in their aprons that Auntie made for them.
Mr. Sully.....You Are Not a House CAT.....

The snow from the last storm was almost gone...then we get it again this morning. The weather-widget shows that its probably almost over though..
Grandpa has only been gone for a few minutes and the driveway is almost covered where the truck was parked.

Auntie gave us this really fun plant for Christmas...We feed it every chance we get...not many bugs this time of year, however. Kinda Cool, isn't it?

Geese in the field...They have been in the valley for a few days now...at first there were only a dozen or so..but, more come every day...Grandpa thinks there are probably close to 60 of them today.
We see some major melting going on today...It's up to 37*- I think we could drive the car out of the driveway...it's been parked for well over a week now because of the ice. Grandpa used the Bob-Cat yesterday to scrape off most of the ice so it would melt better.
