Jade:  2 down and 1 to go for that "jack-o-lantern" - halloween look that all the rage this time of year.
We went out to the DreamCatcher Ranch for a fun afternoon.  It's quite a place.  They have horses, a black pig and a pot bellied pig running around, dogs, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, goats and a gazillion baby lizzards.  It is a working ranch run by Christina for handicapped young people.  Christina and three of the young men have been coming to our Ward...non-members, but seem to be fitting in just right.  They invited the Ward to come out and see their place and show their riding skills.  It was very interesting and the little girls had fun.
Christina helping Naia....she looks so tiny and that huge horse....
Jade....I think this horse was named "Snort."
Jade and Naia all dressed and no place to go....Oh, yea, they want to ride a horse.
Ella riding with Alex.
(I really don't think this is the puppy's mama....)

This little guy was rolling over logs and pushing logs around like crazy...We think he must have been pretty hungry.  He was moving pretty fast..but here are a couple of photos.
The little black bear....wasn't afraid of us at all.
The little black thing in the center is a baby bear.  We had been to Greer...we like to go there for our Anniversary Dinner @ Molly Butler's Lodge---and we were on the way home and the little guy ran across the road in front of us....I had never seen a bear in the wild before.
These are the pictures we took the last Sunday we were serving at the Joseph Smith, Sr. Farm in Palmyra.  It was a rainy day that made everything seem brilliant.  The colors were so dark--the Grove was so peaceful....we've had a marvelous experience!!!!
A beautiful Sunday....raining all day...this picture doesn't do justice to the beauty of the Angle Moroni...sparkling in the rain.

It's raining in Palmyra, N.Y.  -  Imagine that!!!  Our last day...kind of matched our mood...a little teary at the thought of our adventure being over so quickly.  Between the Welcome Center and the Log Home...
This fine young man opened his mission call in the Sacred Grove.  The deal was that he wasn't going to show the other young men and young women in his group until they were all back together at the Hill Cumorah.  He was so excited...he couldn't wait to tell someone where he was going.  My assignment was at the Welcome Center...and I told him I wouldn't tell anyone and so we went a little ways away and he showed me his call.  I think it's safe to tell now that he will be serving in the Little Ark, Arkansas Mission.  He enters the Missionary Training Center in mid-October.
