In the 'Meadow" in Show Low...and they just kept pouring in from the forest behind.
Grandma & Grandpa's activities
This is our favorite sign for the consolidation issue. We don't know about agreeing or not, but is was quite clever. Grandpa just called and said Big John got a message from his daughter who works at the Bank - the word on the street is that the vote was ---NO-- to consolidation - by both towns...interesting. (We, in Shumway, however, cannot take any claim to fame...we didn't get to vote.)
O.K. What is this???? The clock tower went up last weekend...is this an eyesore or an addition. Located between the plumbing store and the gas station and in front of the laundromat. (sometimes been suggested it's bigger and better than the Heritage Social Hall in the city to the north-hhuummm) Did we really need two of these within 2 miles of each other? It's a mystery to me....just waiting to see how this all plays out. If, in fact, the Wal-Mart goes in across the street - will they rethink their design options?
Saturday afternoon Grandpa asked is we needed anything from Wal-Mart or Safeway...we did so he said he would drive me...I should have known he "really" wanted to take a little drive to see how the lakes are filling up from the last snow storm. These are Mexican Lake and White Mountain Lake...up a little, but not as much as we thought...the weather is staying cold so the snow is melting slowly. Jake Flake Wash was running a little water when we left the Temple about noon...so maybe next week we'll have to go around the other way.
