Wednesday (day and nite), and Thursday we had such strong winds..on the drive home we snapped these photos of the dusting Mother Nature is good at in the Spring in Arizona. (Snow here in the mountains - everywhere else in the State it's DUST-very evident both in The Gila Valley and in the Valley of the Sun...) Four Peaks sure were standing out in the clear air.

The school kids had their "Spring Sing" programs and they were GREAT!! Tarrik and Tyanne's program was outside - quite a breesy evening, but they had a great sound system and we could hear the songs well. Their theme was Patriotic and they sang some rousing numbers with much "gusto." Jade and Naia's program was in the Auditorium and they sang both Patriotic songs and some old familiar "folk type" songs. We are so pleased that their schools still place great importance on music!! And we're proud of the Grands for working hard in school and learning their songs so well.
Sorry about the sign...All of a sudden we were right there and were being directed to the parking lot...had to hurry and snap. The Gila Valley Arizona Temple is beautiful!! We were so excited to be able to visit the Open House for Arizona's newest Temple. Our impressions: Lovely, Soft Colors, Small, a Blessing.
Hannah Banana's "farewell" luncheon @ Aunt Janets. Some of the guests, Grandma bringing out the punch, and Uncle Ken cooking his "famous" hamburgers and hot dogs. Hannah will be serving in the Santiago Chile West Mission. (Same Mission Cousin Michon served in, next door to the Vina Del Mar Mission that Cousin ScottLyn served in, and where Uncle Frank served.) She will enter the MTC in Provo on May 5th. (She says if anything happens, "Just take me to Security - I know someone there!")

Thursday morning...Mother Nature says, "Just Kidding!!!."
At the Arts and Letters Night, Jade received 2nd place for her water color, first place for her poem recitation, and also first place in the City of Mesa MLK art contest. Good Job!!!
She was a little nervous about reciting her poem in front of so many people, but she did a wonderful job!!!

Naia showing us her award winning directions on "How to Make Bed." Very creative and well done!
Tarrik received his Arrow of Light Award Wednesday evening. Great Job, Tarrik. He also earned several other badges for Cub Scout work.

Ellie with the Chick-fil-a cow. (really good kid's meals here! - get the 6-piece, though for moms and grandmas- it comes with a fruit cup and good lemonade)
Ella and Ellie on the merry-go-round.
The pet store is always a popular stop during the Mall Visit...Haylee making friends with the ferret. (well, not really - but, just looking)
We could go up and down the escalator dozens of times! It's kind of nice when the store isn't busy and we can go as many times as we like!!! thanks, Aunt Michon.
Grandpa's tulips have really been beautiful this year...and surprisingly enough...the wind hasn't beat them to bits.

We colored, glittered, beaded, wrapped, and painted 5 dozen hard-boiled eggs with the kit that great-grandma gave to us. It was loads of fun!! And, we had some very creatively decorated eggs..These cousins' mothers are very crafty!!

Talya says, "Grandma, I think these cinnamon rolls are done." Treats for after the Priesthood Session. Grandpa, the uncles and Tucker will be home soon.
