More Apple Butter on it's way...Grandpa peeling the apples...After today we should have about 56 pints.

Such a beauty!!
This is what we took to the Temple for snacks this morning.  The red delicious apples are really close to being ready.  Sister Flake confessed that she put one in her purse to take home...hee, hee...
 Heather and McKenna...
Kyler with his very own marshmellow dipped in chocolate and nuts...what a cutie!!  We sugared him up pretty good and then sent him with his dad to scout for elk.....
The "boys" -- Ryan, Uncle Clark, groom Cody, Jacob and Joey in front.
The "girls" -- Lauren, Kirstie, Aunt Angie, bride Ashley and Brittany.
The bride and groom cutting their cake.
Everyone kept trying to get them to "make a mess" but, they were very good and not a drop fell on the floor...good kids...we wish them every happiness!!

Thanks for helping with the apple picking!!!  These three trees were pretty loaded.  Two are Jonathan Apples and the other is Red Delicious.

 Lots of great helpers
 "Grandma, we need more boxes......"

Boxes, ice chests, buckets and baskets filled to the brim....It's a good "apple year."

Our Best Bites has a Refrigerator Dill Pickle Recipe that we thought we'd try.
So far it's a success.....Grandpa says they taste just like the ones his Dad would make when they were kids....in a big barrell they kept out by the back door.  They would peel back the gunny sack cover (and the scum---eeekkk), reach down in a get a pickle.  (Perhaps our method is a little more refinded...or something.)

The corn crop was a little skimpy this year because of that late frost.  We only got 15 bags for the freezor, but it is delish!!!
The D-Backs Game----so FUN --thanks Jared and Nat, Ellie and Haylee...

Yep, its probably a season ending injury...dislocated elbow, plus some torn ligaments and possibly some other bone chips, etc...
Trinley wanted s-mores, so that's what we had...yum

August was a tough month:
Great-Nephew
 Brother-in-law

It seems like we've lost so many of the "solid citizens" in our communities this summer as well as the 1st and 3rd Temple Presidents - President Ballard, 1st Temple President of the Snowflake Temple and President Tenney, 3rd President of the Snowflake Temple.
