HAPPY HALLOWEEN, little munchkins!!! Grandpa and Grandma luv ya!!!

This little guy thought he might want to spend the winter in the house on Grandpa's shoe. Actually this is the second one we've found on Grandpa's shoe in the last week or so. I do wish they's stay outside!!!

O.K. - It's 6:35 a.m. - look what that 50 mph wind that blew yesterday brought!!!

Aren't these beautiful and interesting. These are "Golden Hubbard" squash from Grandpa's "punkin patch." I'm thinking these will make into great pies and cookies. The fall season is really pretty here in the White Mountains. We had a fire downstairs last night and it felt good.

We had a fun time last week. Jared and Natalie were here from Connecticut, Carrie was here from Utah, and Tonya and Michon came up from the Valley. It was the first time the girls have been together for a long time. 13 of the 15 GRANDS were here---and they were so happy to see each other and play...and ride...and pick pumpkins...and play...and play. We were tired, we ate too much, and the house was pretty full. It was great!! Congrates to Jared who landed a job at County- they will soon return to the west...It will be especially nice to have everyone in the same time zone again (that is when Utah gets off day-lite saving).

We found this "stick-man" bug. Jade got it to crawl on her hand then she put it in the petunias.

Congrats to Tucker - The Freshmen Team won their game against McClintock - (Tucker had a great game.)  And also, to Tarrik, who recovered a fumble, made a gazillion great tackles, and was one of the co-captains of the game.  (Both boys wear their dad's # - 82!!!

Across the street from the beach is a park that is perfect for flying kites.  Jared had that kite WAY up there - cool!!! The wind was pulling very hard - could have lifted Ellie off the ground.  

The beach is very rocky.  What a beautiful area!

It's CRAB LEGS for dinner!!! - Deliciously messy and easy.  Just pop them in the oven for a few minutes - melt butter - use whatever tool you can to get the meat out - enjoy - take dishes off the table - fold up the newspaper and take to the dumpster...
