I'm afraid that the elk are becoming a problem. This little aspen tree will not survive.
The "big bad boys"leave their teeth marks.....Perhaps this one wasn't so tasty - or maybe something scared it away - we'll check tomorrow and see if he comes back to finish the job.
They have trampled the cactus...this piece is 5-6 feet away from the plant. We have a little solar light down at the bottom of the lawn- well, they either kicked it or stumbled on it because it was clear across the drive way and broken to bits.....drat!
We aren't sure the ivy will come out of it and the raspberry bushes are taking a hit....oh, well...
What a beautiful Temple! It is really gorgeous!!
Here we are with the Grands.....you can see the design of the Agave Plant in the windows.
We love these windows...
This is the Agave plant that the Temple is designed after. The unique thing about this plant is that the outer, older leaves leave an impression in the younger leaves. This is like families and the influence of generations in the Gospel. Everything from the carpet, light fixtures and even the door knobs are designed after this plant. It's beautiful, peaceful and lovely.
We are so excited for the people in this Temple District - the Temple is such a blessing in our lives!
