Grandpa makes me laugh!!!  We were going to have some strawberry "muffin" cake.  (We didn't have any shortcakes, but we did have some leftover blueberry muffins from breakfast---it was really good!)

For some reason, I decided to use great-granny's egg beater to whip the cream....Grandpa had to come and finish the whipping..."Why are we doing this the "old fashioned" way?"  

 "Well, there isn't anything "old fashioned" about this part," Grandpa said.
