What in the world is this growing out of the apple tree?..it's soft and looks like it's going to drip any minute.  (some kind of a mold, mushroom, fungus - your guess is as good as ours-at any rate, it's gone now.  We got it off in a Wal-Mart bag and washed the tree down..) sorry, this is gross! but, kind of interesting at the same time.
